Rumor: New Nintendo system to be announced?

There is an active rumor floating around that Nintendo is going to announce a new gaming system at the San Francisco Game Developers Conference in mid-March.  I wouldn't expect it to be the Wii 2. The Wii is in too strong of a position.

Nerdphilia prediction: Probably an upgrade to the aging Nintendo DS with internet download support.  Just a guess and you know how rumors are...
