Maybe maybe , Google have hired theyre first game boss. why?
Are Google planning to join the gameworld also?taking over the world?
“I personally feel that Google hiring someone specifically to focus on games is a signal from the company that they recognise the growing importance of games as a medium,” DeLoura said to Gamasutra.
"Now how do we make it easier for developers to express themselves and share the experiences they create?" The position of developer advocate for games at Google is "both inward- and outward-facing," he added.
WHAT DO YOU THINK?
He's probably going to be an Android games evangelist. A person that promotes the virtues of Android platform for games and gathers feedback from devs. I doubt Google will start making games. Google makes very little entertainment based content, let alone games.
ReplyDeleteI do believe it will purely be on an advertisement medium. Jon is right, they don't make much entertainment based content, so starting with games isn't a wise idea.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, I know I wouldn't buy a game if it was published or developed by Google.
I would welcome any company with the same/larger wallet than EA Games into the gaming industry. More opposition usually lead to lower prices and a lot more to choose from.
